Workshops in Luxembourg primary schools will continue to be at the centre of CSI’s sensitisation activities. For each class, three 2-hour workshops will be organised to demonstrate to pupils, in relation to their own dreams and ambitions, that education is indispensable. Pupils will be confronted with the living and learning conditions of children in developing countries, and at the same time they will learn about the reasons for, and potential effects of, illiteracy. At these workshops pupils will also look at the real life stories of individual children in developing countries. These stories will be brought to life by painting and decorating the wooden figures of the "Ronde des exclus de l’éducation" (Circle of education-excluded).
